Story of a passionate designer

Graduated in 2005 from the National School of Applied Arts Oliviers de Serres in Paris, it is thanks to a training focused on the creation of contemporary stained glass that I learned glass work.

It was the following year that I opened my workshop, in my family home in Normandy giving it its name, and which over time has adapted by evolving towards the creation of jewelry and glass decorations, being myself a fan of decoration and original jewelry!

My hand tools, on one side those of glass, on the other those of ceramics ...

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

After a long phase of tests and experiments, I was able to divert stained glass materials, enamels and sheets of glass from their original uses.

And that was no small feat!
Because between the glasses which do not melt together without bursting and the enamels which turn at the high temperatures where the glass melts, it took some failures to manage to control the result!

Moreover, even today there is always a part of the unknown and even a successful batch never goes without its percentage of failures ...

But this is precisely what makes the interest and the originality of my work!

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

A sample of everyday "failures" ... they too have a certain charm!

I like to choose my colored glasses carefully and create my own mixtures of enamels to obtain shimmering jewels with always very simple contours that make them easy to wear on all occasions.

And I always make sure during assembly that they can adapt to all, that they are light, that the constraints of size or allergy find solutions and do not prevent having fun!
And for me also to continue to please myself, because wishing to diversify myself, a few years ago I embarked on ceramics as an autodidact.

This time, too, the challenge was technical as well as creative!

Between transparent and opaque glasses I made my choice ... I take both!

Because having a glass furnace, less powerful than a potter's furnace, I cannot reach the firing temperatures of clay and enamels of classic pottery.

The experiments were therefore resumed thanks to the discovery of a local soil with a unique whiteness (Norman earthenware made by a small family business in Molay Littry) that I can cook in my oven at a lower temperature, that is to say all the same at more than 800 degrees!
Enamelling has been replaced by the application of pigments and patinas before and after firing.
This time again the adaptation allowed me to find my own techniques and style!

The ceramic, still quite gray in the oven, awaits firing ...

Always curious to explore and express myself, I also use other materials and continue to create, inspired by my tastes, my roots, my passions ...

So my personal worlds happily coexist to offer people who appreciate craftsmanship and originality special objects that tell them a unique story that speaks to them!
